Jarek a few years ago yo helped my utilize this to modify system settings when a design starts.
I have run into a problem. I have the settings modified so detached dialogues always close with x. This works in some instances ut not in others. What I see is if the button brings uo a chart that just shows the properties for a nested design it will close as it should. If the nested design (nested into one chart, brings up a panel of controls it does not minimize. The panel I have set up is a means to control several midi elements using sliders for volume control and buttons to set the midi scale, note range, instument.
When I click a button in the panel, it shows the properties that can be modified. That panel will close with a ckick on x but the main panel containing all the controls will not.
I suspect this is a bit confusing, i can send a snippet if that would be helpful.
Thanks

I am not sure if that is the answer to your question, but there are different settings for Runtime window vs detached dialogs.
In the "5 midi control 3.bpd" snippet I opened, the only window which opens is Runtime.
If you want to use X button on that Runtime frame in order to close the design, you need to clear this system setting on Interface tab: "Pressing X on Runtime frame only sends event to WindowInteractor" |

Something went wrong creating the release folder. The 5 midi was a nested design for a design called Close On x
That design did not end up in the release folder.
I will try again.
