BioEra crashed when a new antivirus program decided it should not be allowed to run. I uninstalled the the antivirus and restarted my computer. Now when I attempt to run BioEra I immediately get the "Invalid Exit Code" message.

I reinstall 4.00 and it ran just fine. Updating to 4.008 and 4.009 both resulted in the same error again.

I went through the process twice and each time 4.00 worked the updates did not.
4.008 used to work fine. but not now.

Suggestions?

Thanks

What is the exit code number?

Since 4.008 worked there before, I would try to manually remove "BioEraPro" folder (to make sure that nothing is locked in there, although this should not be the case since you restarted the computer), then install full and update versions.

Also, if there are any errors in the log files (if you start with console), that could be useful too.

The error code is -2

I find no error messages or console logs for the failed startups. The error occurs immediately whenthe program begins to load.

The console reads C:/programfiles (x86)/BioeraEraPro>bioera.exe- diagnostic -log- console.log exit code not available

I did move my existing BioEra pro folder to the desktop. Installed 4.00 which worked fine. installed 4.008 update same error again.

I am currently running all my disk utility software and antivirus software. I will redownload the update installers to make sure they were not corrupted at some point in time

This error code isn't generated in BioEra's code (it must be generated outside of it, probably by Windows), so I can't really tell what is happening.

Making sure the update installer is not corrupted is a good idea.
