Jarek,
I am using version 3.235. Today as I was working on a design I ran into a problem with nested designs. I inserted a nested into the design. The discovered that I had to add something to it. I loaded the nested design and added the change, which was a change in an expression evaluator. The design I had been working on failed to reload properly It loaded and looked OK for a moment but then closed down and restarted with the default design. The design I had tried to load was then listed as invalid. This has not happened to me before. I tried it with several different samples, always with the same results.
I can work around this by giving the modified nested design a new name and then adding it to the base design, but this was never necessary before.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks George |

I don't know why that happened. There was no change in how nested designs work. Not for a very long time.
An invalid design means that the .bpd file was corrupted.
If you send me your design and explain how to reproduce it (so that I can get such an invalid design) I will investigate. |

Jarerk,
I was able to work around it today but if it happens again I will send you the designs,
What I do know is that I was changing a nested design that was nested several layers into a design. A nested design in a nested design in a nested design.
I also noticed this once before if I used the advanced property in a nested design to load the path to a slightly modified nested design.
