|
Jarek,
I used to be able to find a setting to check that would allow nested design changes to be made without having the messaged about resetting local settings. Now I can not find it. I upgraded from my ancient XP to Win 7 recently. After reinstalling the program and moving all my files over to the new drive, the designs seem to automatically restart and reset local settings, no dialogue at all. Any suggestions? I would prefer not to go through all my designs and redo settings.
Thanks

George,
the reset of the nested design settings was improved recently, so I thought there might be no need to give this choice any more, since (hopefully) the reset should cause no negative effect.
Before this recent change all properties (created by PropertyBuilders) were lost after reset, so it was often unwelcome to do it automatically.
Now all those properties should persist, they are remembered and restored. I found it very useful, since normally those are the only settings which should stay unmodified, and it is better to update the nested design if it has changed.
Please let me know if the reset is actually causing you any unwelcome problems.

Jarek,
I tested several more designs. Two failed two more worked fine. I retransferred the failed designs and this time the settings persisted nicely.
Thanks for the help and a most helpful new feature. I have a large library of nested design so this new way of dealing with them will be most helpful
