Hi Jarek, does VideoFilePlayer support containers other than avi ?
Also which codecs are recommended when transcoding for VideoFilePlayer ?
Are there limitations on resolution and such?
Thanks.

AVI is the primary extension, it contains a lot of formats like XVID which can be played when their codecs are installed. Other formats like MPEG should be also possible when their codecs are in the system.

Good good. And as far as codecs go, I've noticed that changing the frame-rate dynamically needs to be rate-limited because it causes some \"millisecond pausing\" in the audio/video playback. Would you like to recommend any specific encoding/codecs which work particularly well to minimize such side effects?

I have not experienced something like that (because I don't use this form of feedback), so no, I can't advise.

I usually just use audio feedback, but for HEG nIP/pIR I quite like the frame-rate controlled Grand Canyon terrain flight. In this case I recruited RateLimiter-250ms with mpeg2 video and it works fine. There are a LOT of codecs available for avi so if anyone else has encoding recommendations then please do post. Cheers =)
