Hi Bernie,
yes, you need to activate again on each new computer when bioera is installed. Also you are supposed to have bioera only on one computer, so please uninstall it from previous.
For some reasons that I can`t explain most bioera users prefer email rather then forum :-).

Jarek,
This will show some lack of forsight on my behalf. My original thinking was that I would be doing my design and development work on my desk computer and using my lap top when I meet with people to test and demonstrate. It had not occured to me that i would be violating the terms of my purchase, namely, only having one active copy on one computer. So I need to find a solution.
I will be doing most of my work on the desk computer, and would only need to use the lap top on occaisional weekends when doing AVS related activities. I know this is kludgy, but would it be possible for me to archive my designs, uninstall Bioera from my desk computer and install on the lap top when needed, then switch back when done? I don't mind the effort so long as that honors my purchase agreement, but if it means bothering you for a new activation code each time then I understand that is unreasonable.
Option 2-- is it possible to buy a second liscense which would allow me to run Bioera on both machines so I don't have to periodically uninstall/reinstall? I could pay a reasonable fee, but can't at this time afford a second copy.
Option 3--or, assuming 1 would be a violation of terms and 2 would be outside my budget, do I need to suck it up and pick a single permanent computer! In that case I could install to the laptop, but having the huge screen on the desktop model is so much easier for design!
Please don't think I am trying to \"pull a slick one\" here, I just really didn't put enough forsight into all that I would need in order to be able to design/use EEG in the way I wanted to. Until I am able to purchase a second copy (or a liscense) I would be willing to switch a single copy between computers, even if that means having to re-activate each time, but only if the reactivation is automatic. If each reactivation would require additional hassle on your behalf then I understand that is unreasonable and will make do with designing on the lap top. I am just trying to avoid that if there is any ethical way of doing so. I understand that the ideal solution is to have an individually liscensed permanent copy on both computers, but until then, is switching between computers an option?
Many thanks! Keith |

Keith,
Generally one license is for one computer. In the next version 2.1 it will be possible to buy BioEra with USB dongle which then can be run on any computer (license is attached to the dongle). I will send you separate email and address other questions there.

Thanks Jarek!
The dongle is a great idea. It will make things a lot easier! Will it be possible for those of us who already have Bioera Pro (which, if you are still using Bioera Light, take it from me you don't know what you are missing, folks!) to purchase the dongle?
Also, will the dongle replace the \"receiver\" dongle that comes with the Pendant EEG (of which I am also a big fan!), or will it be strictly a security device?

Keith,
I think it will possible to exchange current license for dongle.
No, Pendant's dongle is strictly for wireless connection and it can't be replaced. BioEra's dongle will be for verification, it will also allow to run BioEra from the dongle.
