Jarek,
When a session is running and I remove an input from the polygraph element the trace continues to be visible. If I reinit the polygraph it displays properly. 1) am I doing something wrong? 2) if not is it possible to have the element reinitialize when connections are removed?
Thanks |

I can't reproduce this behavior here, so I am not sure what happens.
When I remove last connection in Polygraph, the design reinitializes and Polygraph continues to run without this last trace - so that is OK.
When I remove a middle connection, Polygraph stops with a red cross, everything else in the design continues to run. This probably could be improved, but I assume that is not what you are asking about? |

Jarek,
It is not working that way for me.
I have changed some system and design settings.
I do have it set up to reintialize when if element down not process And reinitialize all when property is changed.
I am using 3.036 |

Jarek,
I just reinstalled BIoEra and now the reinitialization works. When I disconnect an input the trace disappears as it should. If I do this during a session and everything reinitializes then videos restart, music restarts, pacman goes back to the beginning.
Is it possible to have a setting for the polygraph that would reinit when connections change? That way the design would go on without interruption while I make changes in the displays.
Thanks

| It is not possible, but I will see if that could be improved. It would be a useful option, I am not sure yet how hard to implement. |

Jarek,
Thanks. This is not a high priority. I tend to mess around with settings a lot during sessions. That is a habit I could work on reducing

I know now what happened. You must have had this option cleared: \"Reinitialize all on a connection change\" before. By default it is selected, so that is why I observed a different behavior.
I will make a following improvement in 3.042: if the above option is NOT selected, I will only reinitialize the target element when any of its input connections is removed in designer. That should do what you need.

Jarek,
I cannot locate this option. Reinitialize all on a connection change
I can see Reinitialize all on property change
I am sure I am missing something really obvious

| It is located on Designer tab after you open System Settings. Not on the Settings tab as the option you mention. I probably should move them all to Designer tab. |
