Hi Jarek, I made a design copy of the AlphaMidi demo using new elements leaving out the archive element by default the device set element comes up as Archive. I ran the design like this and it ran Ok as a demo even without the archive element. When I changed it to Modulareeg and try to start the design it just locks up takes about 5 mins to get out what do you think I might be doing wrong ? Regards Bernie |

Hi Bernie,
my first recommendation would be to setup DeviceSet element to read from ModEEG. You can do this from menu->Install Device. After this is done, restart BioEra and open properties of DeviceSet and make sure the ModularEEG is listed there. Make sure you set proper serial port (this may be the reason why it locks) when you install device.
Let me know how this goes.

Hi Jarek, Thanks for your reply, I know I am a bit of a pain but this AlphaMidi and others is driving me crazy, I spent most of last week and still no joy. I did exactly what you recommeded in the last mail but it still locks up when I press start. Demo is still OK. Com1 seems OK if I try it on Electric Guru display stops and starts if I switch the eeg on and off. Can`t be computer memory if demo works OK. I am running a pentium 4 at 2.6 with 512mb of ram.Anymore suggestions? Thanks again for your patients. Regards Bernie |

Hi Bernie,
do you see any error messages on the console when this is happening?

Hi jarek, A couple of times when I have seen the dos screen(Black) it has had the message"Processor not started properly or started too slow" No error messages on the design screen. Thanks Regards Bernie |

Bernie,
It looks like a problem with serial port driver. I will provide you with newer not yet released version which has new custom serial driver. I will send more info by email.
