Jarek,

I tried out you suggestion and found that it worked quite well for setting volume level. The main issue now is that the changes take a bit of time to take place. I am hoping to use the change in volume for feedback and would like it to take place as quickly as possible. Is it possible that the when I use amplitude from a band filter that the response will be quicker. Is there a way to speed up the change in volume,

Thanks,
George

There are a few settings:

1. You need to use blueline connection from PCM player to the sound source element. That is shown in BioEra examples. It optimizes the amount of audio data exchanged.
2. In PCMAudioPlayer element set the \"Buffer length [s]\" to the smallest value which doesn't cause sound distortion. In my case that is usually OK to set to 0.1s, sometimes it works for less than that, but that may be depend on computer.
3. You might want to decrease the \"Sleep time [ms]\" in the Design Settings and see if that helps. The 10ms is optimal (also for other reasons) so if you don't see an improvement, better stay with this value. If you decide to decrease it, do NOT set it to 0, the 1ms is the minimum (the 0 value might work but not with all elements).

Jarek,

Thanks for all the help with this. I have used only Midi's and DVDs in the past so this part of sound capabilities is quite foreign to me,

The PCMPlayer is definitely the fastest of all of them. So it is worth the optimization.

Jarek,

Connecting the Blue Request output to the soundplayer made a big difference. Also set the buffer to .1 as suggested. Works like a charm now

Thanks a lot
