I just re-tested with Nia and it works well (also on Windows 8), so here is what you can do:

1. Open an example design, like OneRewardOneInhibitPacman
2. On the menu select Tools, then \"Device Selection - manual\"
3. Select NIA on the list.
4. Press OK
5. Start the design. You should see a signal coming from your Nia.

If you don't, make sure your device is operational. You can verify that using the software which comes with Nia.

Hello, Jarek.

I do 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and in console i got this:

<quote>
BioEra 2.3.200 is started
Loading design: C:Program FilesBioEraTrialdesignexamplesOneRewardOneInhibit
Pacman.bpd
Warning: Element not connected: EDF writer(90868)
Reinit problem in element Selector(84396): java.lang.RuntimeException: Pipe not
connected, input SP not available: [name=In1, id=651533, type=Type: SCALAR, elem

Please reinstall BioEra and do the steps 1-5.

If the problem is still there you may want to try this simple design just to test if Nia is available to BioEra:

http://proatech.com/design/nia.bpd

(save this file on your local disk and open with BioEra)

Re-install BioERA
The same error.

Try to use nia.nbp and got in the console this message:

Restarting Nia due to invalid report length: -4
Winsub: readReport() ERROR: no response from USB
Winsub: readReport() ERROR: no response from USB
Nia: Invalid report length: -4
Winsub: readReport() ERROR: no response from USB
Nia: Invalid report length: -4

It looks like BioEra can't communicate with your Nia. Yes, possibly due to a different version (feel free to provide more information about your Nia).

You may want to try to use a different USB socket, preferably on the front of the computer and see if the error is still the same.

No, images can't be put on this forum.
