I've been reading thru the manual and dinking around with the trial version of the software. Still don't completely understand the design process. As I am evaluating the software for use in a clinical setting, it would be nice to meet with a NFB clinician who actually uses BioEra in his/her practice, one who is comfortable with the design and runtime interfaces.
Anyone like that in central Texas? |

BioEra is a development system, oriented for neuro and other types of bio feedback, which means it has in-built elements for those type of operation (e.g. frequency bands required in neurofeedback) and that makes such process much easier then starting from zero. BioEra is not designed or targeted as an end product. It is also not for medical use (it has not been certified), although some systems which are developed on it do have medical clearance in USA and EU.

| Well, this is awkward. I didn't know the software had to be approved too. Sorry, Jarek. Didn't mean to waste time and space on this forum. I don't suppose you're in the process of receiving approval for medical use sometime soon? |

There is no plan to do this soon, and since BioEra is a development product, then I am not sure such approval would be even feasible. One purpose of medical certification is to assure that client can't hurt himself. In software this is done by providing limited number of options which are safe. That is possible in end-products, but in a development systems almost anything can be done, good or bad, it all depends on the developer.
