hpractitioner, I haven't dedicated time to trying it. At some point in the past I used Crossover 8.0 (Wine Emulator) and got Bioera to load (notice: I didn't say work) but I have no electrodes or input to pass to it so I can't confirm if it actually worked. It loaded which was neat to see. I think I used XP as a 'bottle' filesystem for it to load in to. I didn't quite understand the Graphical User Interface for it as well.
What happens for you when you try to load it in VMware? (btw, what version of VMware?) |

Hi Hagbard,
I am using vmware Version 3.0.1 (215242).
I get this error message
Bioera can't be executed on virtual PC Machine Exit code: 0 Press any key to continue
I have Bioexplorer running fine on VMware. I wanted to test out Bioera and can't get it to start |
Bioera can't be executed on virtual PC Machine Exit code: 0 Press any key to continue
Yea...it's pretty clear it doesn't like being loaded in a virtual machine environment, hehe... What a real shame!
Maybe you can give Bioera a go on Crossover v8 or even v9?
Is Bioexplorer open-source? Can you tell me about your setup?
Thanks! |

I have loaded it up on my old PC to test it out.
I will give crossover a go later today.
you can check out Bio-explorer half way down this website http://pocket-neurobics.com/
Similar to bio-era, with a few less functions
I don't think bio-exporer is open source |

FYI:
starting from version 2.3.37 (or 2.2.137) it is now possible to execute BioEra on vmware and other virtual machines.
Note: the above is true only for the USB dongle license, not the \"Single computer\" license.
