Sharhidd,
to record video make sure that you installed BioEra with JMF field checked (by default it is NOT checked). If not or not sure, install again (no need to uninstall). Then try the example snippet designs to do the recording (webcam_capture.bpd ) and playing (webcam_play.bpd ), they demonstrate how to record/play together with a simulated EEG signal.
If there is any problem with the above designs make sure your camera has been properly detected (it must be plugged-in during installation). Also you can use this program (attached with BioEra) to test the camera accessibility with java: \"c:/Program Files/BioEraPro/jre/bin/jmstudio.exe\"

|
Hi
The webcam works well, But when I insert a dvd camera via firewire, bioera complains that the jmf processor initialization failed. Do you know how to overcome this problem?
Yes, I have reinstalled the software while the new dvd cam attached and on. The DVD camera works fine on all other window programs (example movie maker).
I have also run JM studio but it does not initislize any picture (I dont think it sees the camera)?
For quality purposes we require execellent images, therefore we need to use a good dvd camera and not just an ordinary webcam. How do you suggest we orvercome this problem.

Hi Sharhidd,
if the jmstudio doesn't detect the camera, then probably it will not be possible to use this camera with bioera any time soon. I have never tried fireware camera, it must be a newer data format then what java can support at this moment. I will research, but this may take a while.
Sony cameras work well (tested most with hc20 over USB), they provide reasonable quality, much better then most PC webcams, with optical zoom, night vision etc. And also a good compression (~6MB per minute at 320x240 resolution 30fps).

Hi
Could you please inform me how to o an impedance check using bioera? Do you use EEG NeuroAmp object? HOW DO YOU CONNECT THE OTHER ELEMENTS TO IT?

Whether it is possible to measure impedance depends on the device. NeuroAmp has 'Mode' property (see properties of the Neuroamp element), which can be set to 'Impedance' so it is possible. Pendant doesn't have an option to measure impedance.
